Thursday 18 July Leviticus 19: 20-37 Qn4.

“If a man lies sexually with a woman who is a slave, assigned to another man and not yet ransomed or given her freedom…… (20) Nowadays, there are people who have money and other forms of power, which they misuse by abusing those who happen to be under their leadership. God is not pleased with it at all, because it is caused by pride and contempt. Anyone who uses his power in that manner must know that God is the owner of all power, and that those who do not repent will eventually be held accountable (1Sam.2.3). Do not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, (29)  It is said that there are parents who involve their daughters in prostitution with the aim of gaining from them. If we do not inform our children about the dangers of fornication and punish them when they mess up, we will be held accountable. Parents should know what to do with their children in this time of freedom and human rights. Rights and any freedom that destroy a person, make him sin, take him away from God who created him, are all evil and we must avoid them.
