Sunday 14 July, 1 Timothy 5.17-25 Qn.6
Nor take part in the sins of others; keep yourself pure. (22): If Timothy was called to lead and examine the lives of others, it was necessary for him to pay close attention to what could harm his own life, so in everything he was to avoid defiling himself. Sometimes the members of today’s Church are more interested in their own interests than in the growth of the Church. God’s word warns us not to associate with people with bad habits (Ps. 1.1-2). Therefore, when you want to conform yourself to the behavior of foreigners, you risk to join them in sin. That makes you unrighteous and sends your life to hell. The sins of some people are conspicuous, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others appear later (24). There are people whom we tend to consider as innocent and categorize as perfect, yet before God they may be under serious judgment. It is time for everyone to examine oneself and make sure they are still on the right track. Warning: Protect your heart more than anything else that can be protected, because it is where life comes from (Prov. 4.23). Song (34 Salvation)
