Monday 29 July Leviticus 26. 21-46 Qn.5

July 29, 2024 - July 30, 2024

then I will walk contrary to you (28): If there is one great thing that a man should fear, it is going against God who created him, and has all authority over him. There are examples of people rebelled against God and the consequences that came to them (2 Kings 2.24; 2 Kings 17.26; Jer.8.17; Jer.2.15). God has authority over every person, be it his body, his heart and his soul. That is why we should fear him (Mat.10.28). What God did to the Israelites was to make them his treasured possession, and forgive their sins. Unfortunately, instead of turning, they kept going away from God, thus they went against him, which brought them bad consequences (Ezek. 20.23-24). Then the land shall enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate, (34): Although the Israelites did not obey God, and the consequences also reached their country, but there was a promise that their country could rest one day. God’s love is indescribable. Request: Pray for all the leaders of our country, so that they avoid doing what is contrary to God’s will. Song 104 (Praises).
