Ikib.3
“Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?” (1): The battles during Joshua’s leadership rendered the Canaanites weak. What the people of Israel had to do next was to inhabit the land of Canaan, which God had given to them. The Israelites asked God the tribe that could go first (1-2). Most of the problems we incur in life result from carrying out anything on our own without consulting God first. And the men of Judah fought against Jerusalem and captured it…(8): Any time the people of Israel relied on God and accepted his leadership, they could win all battles. We also have some lessons to learn from them in our calling to expand the kingdom of God: 1) Asking for God’s advice in all our undertakings; 2) Obeying and following his advice; 3) Accepting to work with other people in unity. Prayer Request: Pray for Church leaders and those of Christian organizations to always ask God how to carry out his ministry, and also to work together in unity.
