Wednesday 21 June 2 Corinthians 13.1-14 Qn.3

This is the third time I am coming to you (1): Paul planted the Corinthian church (Acts 18:11), and visited them for the second time between his first and second letters. The Corinthian Church made Paul so tired because they mostly wanted him to show the signs to prove that he was the messenger of Christ (3). Paul was not discouraged to the point of leaving them. Paul ended up this letter promising them a third visit, but also requesting them to practise self control before he could come back (5). As he had told them earlier before (1-2), this shows that he had tolerated them for so long and given them enough time and several preachings for them to repent. Most times Satan tends to enslave us in sin, hindering us from repenting and growing spiritually. Warning: Let’s take our time for self-control, open up our hearts to receive the grace to be patience as we engage ourselves in God’s service. Song 90 (Salvation)
