Wednesday 13th August Matthew 22.1-14

“And sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come (3): Jesus narrated this parable to explain how those who could have submitted themselves to God (Priests), are the ones who haven’t. Those invited on the first round (8) had not enthroned God in their hearts. They had kind of enthroned themselves instead, following their own desires and doing whatever they wanted. Submitting to God goes with accepting the Lord Jesus, putting aside our own ways, and taking the way he guides us into. Have we responded well to that kind of invitation? “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment (11): Putting on a wedding garment (11-14), is accepting that we are sinful, allowing Jesus into our lives, in order for him to turn us into Holy people. The believers shall be clothed in holy garments when Jesus comes back for consummation of his throne (Rev.3.5). Prayer Request:  I wish you to be part of that wedding feast, where you will be putting on a holy garment.
