Tuesday 4 June Leviticus 5.14-6.1-11 Qn.4
“If anyone commits a breach of faith and sins unintentionally in any of the holy things of the Lord (15): this is the sin of taking from God unjustly! There were sacrifices and offerings to be offered in a specific period of time, whoever ignored or forgot to do so could be considered guilty, and had to repent of the same. “If anyone sins and commits a breach of faith against the Lord by deceiving his neighbor (6.2). Someone can deny what a neighbor has given him to keep for him or her, one can also deny some agreements made, or use his or her power to grab something from a neighbor. Such people may be taken as wise but God counts them among sinners who are condemned and in need of repentance. They have to give back what they have taken with the profit (24), and they have to offer a sacrifice to God for sinning against him as well. Pray: Lord we call you to protect the weak and provide a heart of compassion to the powerful. Song 4 (Salvation)
