Tuesday 27 February Isaiah 41.17-29 Qn.2,5

“I the God of Israel will not forsake them“ (17): There is a lot of reasons that the almighty God is worthy of praises. He cares about the poor and the needy. Water is the source of life. God promised to give them a lot of water. They will not only get water but even wealth from their plants. (19) This might not be the first time. Even in the desert he offered water and the manna to his people, protecting them from hunger and thirsty. In our case, God gave us Jesus who is the source of water and bread of life. Remembering this made us believe with no hesitation that even today God is working. If you ever feel thirsty or hungry, go to Jesus and he will feed you (Isaiah 55.1-4). Behold,  you are nothing, and your work is less than nothing; (24): the Israelites were surrounded by nations that seemed to believe that they had gods of wealth, gods that could defeat their enemies. Almighty God says that these gods are nothing and blames those who follow them. Today these idols are in a big number and their followers too are too many. Advice: Ask God the knowledge to protect yourself that nothing will separate you from him.
