Tuesday 25 June Leviticus 13.1-28 Qn.3
It is a case of leprous disease (3): The priest was in charge of examining if one had leprosy or if it could be another disease. There were many diseases that could indicate symptoms like leprosy which could bring out some eruptions on the skin (7), having raw flesh (14), reddish–white spot (19), sport reddish–white or white (24). All these diseases were not easy to differentiate from leprosy, and they could lead to erroneous decision as to the health of a given person, thus with a risk for any likely disease to spread. The wellbeing and health of the people were under the duties of the priests. He shall pronounce him clean of the disease (12): Obviously God had given a set of symptoms that could be taken into account to prove whether someone had leprosy or not. This was so clear that the priests could never get confused, but instead detected the disease. Advice: Today’s church leaders should also have the responsibilities of the good health of their church members. Song 263 (Praises)
