Not that  the testimony that I receive is from man (34) Jesus testimony does not only base on what he says or to himself, but there is a lot of people that testify who he is, John included (33). Father testifies to all living on earth for that child through his works (36). In Israel’s law there was an article that stating that the testimony is accepted when there is two or three witnesses (Deteronomy.19.15). The explanations that Jesus gave to these leaders consisted of concrete examples which they could understand. You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life (39): The religious leaders of Jesus time loved to read the scriptures, they have learned them to the extent that they have memorized them. This means that they have  already known the story of Christ’s coming, but seeing him has changed nothing in their lifestyle. This is because they thought of him as a great leader who would free them from the slavery of the gentiles.  Consider: Jesus humbled himself to reach the strong and the lowly. Song 151 (Praise)
