Thursday 8 February John 8.12-20 Qn. 1, 3

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  (12): It has been made clear that there is eternal life in Jesus Christ and that this was manifested as light to people. It is said that this light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (1.5). Jesus came to give eternal life to whoever believes in him, and he enables such person to walk in the light of the word of God. David also stated the same in (Psalm 119.105). …the testimony of two people is true (17): the Pharisees did not listen to Jesus because of their beliefs. For them nothing was to be accepted without at least more than one witness, and for them Jesus alone testified about himself (13). Have you not also acquired certain beliefs that hinder you from understanding what God requires from you, and limiting the accomplishment of God’s good plans for your life? Consider: Jesus is still welcoming whoever comes to him to receive eternal, but some time later, he shall return as a just Judge. Song 104 (Praises)
