Thursday 30 May Leviticus 2.1-16 Qn.7
His offering shall be of fine flour. He shall pour oil on it and put frankincense on it (1): All the offerings that were burnt from the animals and the farm produce had a single aim: becoming the beautiful aroma to God. But the rest of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons (3): Due to the work that priests performed that was not so easy, God considered them and gave them a big portion on the offerings brought by people. The bigger portion of the fine flour offered was for the priests in comparison to what was for God. Oud God does not leave his servants hungry. There is a song that says “There is no loss in serving God. Do it faithfully and you will marvel at the outcome! “No grain offering that you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven … (11) Leaven is a symbol of hypocrisy and wrong doing (Matt. 16.12; 1 Cor. 5:8). If we sacrifice ourselves to God as true sacrifices, we have to focus on our hearts since that’s what God considers the most (1 Sam 16.7). Consider: Keep your heart with all vigilance…(Proverbs 4. 23).
