Thursday 27 June Leviticus 14.1-20 Qn.7

June 27, 2024 - June 28, 2024

“This shall be the law of the leprous person for the day of his cleansing.  He shall be brought to the priest (2). Though leprosy was a bad disease, some people could be blessed by getting healed, but even those ones could not instantly go back into the community. Since the priest was the one to confirm the disease, he was also the one to confirm that the patient had got healed; then he could make a sacrifice and carry out all other related ceremonies to confirm that the person had been healed. Today Jesus has given us grace, we are sanctified by his blood shed on the cross (John 19: 34). And bathe his body in water, and he shall be clean (9) the healed leprous man had to make himself clean and remove from himself or herself all the signs that indicated his or her uncleanness out of leprosy. He or she could shave off all his hair from his head, his beard, and his eyebrows, then also wash his clothes and then give peace offering (10). After going through hardships a Christian should thank God. Question: Do you recognize what God has done for you and give thanks to him for that? Song 10 (Praises)
