How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?” (15): In his life Jesus surprised people in different ways ( Luke 8.56). In Today’s chapter we can see him in Jerusalem teaching in the temple, and the Jews wondering where he got such insights, for which they were so amazed. Replying to them, Jesus did not want to convince them that he was an extraordinary person, rather he said that what he was teaching was from the one who sent him, and that whoever wills to do God’s will, will know whether his teaching was from God or simply his own (17). All along their conversation,  Jesus challenged the Jews regarding their inconsiderate application of Jewish laws that could deprive them of other essentials worthy for their lives (23). How do you react when people rise against you, when you know well that you are in the right way? Consider: Jesus is a good example on this topic, let’s learn from him and ask the Holy Spirit to enable us to act accordingly. Song 388 (Praises)
