Sunday 15th June Acts 13.42-52
Qn. 3
“But God raises him from the dead, (30): Even if the Jews were always reading prophecies about the Messiah, yet they never really knew him, instead they fulfilled the prophecy by killing him (27-29). Death couldn’t hold Christ as God resurrected him. Christ’s resurrection is the victory for Christians. Since Christ resurrected, all those who believe in him will be made alive in him (1 Cor. 15.20-22). Do you also have hope to resurrect and be given eternal life? “For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption (36): God himself affirmed David that he was a man after his heart (22). David had surrendered his life for the fulfillment of God’s purposes on earth. God delights his people when they do his will, instead of following their own desires. Doing the will of God is accepting to be led by the Holy Spirit. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God (Rom. 8.8). Prayer: God enable me to always do your will as long as I am still alive.
