Saturday 30th August Job 12.1-25

August 30

Qn. 1

“In the thought of one who is at ease there is contempt for misfortune; it is ready for those whose feet slip (5): Job’s time of silence helped him to respond boldly because he realized that he was dealing with unwise people (Ps. 94.7-9), and he answered them sarcastically (2-3). While Jesus was on the cross, some people said, “Let’s see whether God will deliver him (Mat. 27.43), if not then he doesn’t know him (that was their perception). Those who truly trust in the LORD will never be ashamed, they are not shaken. The momentary affliction prepares for us our future eternal glory. Wisdom and might belong to God (13): We are required to believe, and accept God’s wisdom, his guidance, and the way he doesn’t favor anyone (Is. 40.26; Dan. 2.20). God is the source of everything   we may need. He is the one who shuts in such a way that no one can open (14). He guided Jacob and Joseph in light of Abraham’s promise (Gen. 37.28). Whatever we don’t understand, all that are too hard for us to manage and hidden from our insights, have been revealed in the Christ who was crucified, and he has taught us all about faith. Prayer Request: Ask God for wisdom in all your undertakings.
