In those days there was no king in Israel. And in those days the tribe of the people of Dan…(1): Probably  the people of Israel were struggling to get themselves some land to possess because they had no king at that time. It took long for the tribe of the people of Dan to get a possession, could be they were not strong enough or else it was not yet God’s time. The five brave spies helped the people to know all about the land of the tribe of Ephraim, at Micah’s. It was common to the Israelites to spy a land before attacking it (Jos. 2.1-3). Whenever God sends us, he has someone to be on our side to enable us accomplish what God has sent us to do (Ex. 4.14-15). Upon their arrival, the spies got in touch with the priest Jonathan, who told them how he had become Micah’s priest for pay. We usually meet such cases with other people of God who have to get paid in order to serve people. Prayer Request: Pray for the people of God who serve for pay as this does not glorify God.
