Saturday 25 May Isaiah 65.1-12 Qn.6
I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me (1) : God replied to the prayer of Isaiah and told him that he always calls for the people who have refused to come back, which is the work of Jesus when he calls for foreigners and other people who could not believe in him. Paul said that those who boast about Judaism and the law are cursed and guilty before God since they boast about what they do not observe (Rom 2.17-25 ; 6-7). Those who do what God hates will be killed by the sword (12) but he is steal sitting on the mercy seat, so if you have sinned please repent. “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and they say, ‘Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,’ (8). The song of the cluster shows us that God has done everything for the vineyard to be fruitful (5.2). Though God was to judge the Israelites (6-7), he could continue to save the rest who believe in him and bring them back in the country for them to continue spreading his goodness across the world (9). We who are called to do this work, we are requested to bear fruit that remains. (John 15.5, 16). Consider : Jesus is the true Vineyard (John 15 :1). Song 286 (Praises)
