“Call now; is there anyone who will answer you? To which of the holy ones will you turn? (1): Eliphaz addresses Job, showing him the holy ones have no time to listen to the wicked. Is that comfort? At times we seem to replace God in making judgment (Rom. 8.33). Even today, it’s most likely to find some Christians who are like Job’s friends, who had unhelpful thoughts. We should not relate trials with conduct, since Satan would find a foothold to separate us (Jn. 10.10). “Behold, “Blessed in the one whom God reproves,…(17): Even as Eliphaz takes the case of Job as punishment, yet he’s is full of prophecy without knowing, and without intending that (17-27). In a hurting speech, God brings out something that heals the hurts. God’s ways are so amazing. If at someone tells you some hurting words, calmly pay attention; as you may take out something that may comfort you (Jn. 13.7). Consider: When Satan sends some storm, God’s love follows thereafter when we remain calm.
