Saturday 20 July Leviticus 21. 1-24 Qn.1

No one shall make himself unclean for the dead among his people,(1)  God knew that the work of the priests was very important. That is why he could also tell them what they should avoid, so that they could do their work righteously. Priests should approach their closest relatives (2-3). This also shows us the value God gives the family. None of your offspring throughout their generations who has a blemish may approach to offer the bread of his God (17). These words are very important in today’s time when we are talking about human rights. God does not discriminate and instead loves each person regardless of their physical defects. The priest who offered the sacrifices without blemish, required that he also could appear to be without blemish. warning: There is a proverb that says: “There is no beauty without blemishes,…” never despise yourself because of the blemish or any body defects. Those who do not have it should avoid thinking that they are better than those who have it, before God they are all sanctified by the blood of Jesus from the cross. Prayer: Pray for people with any kind of infirmity to discover their worth and self-esteem. Song 84 (Praises).
