“… I have shown you many good works from the Father…” (32): What a challenging work that was set before Jesus! Imagine explaining to people who did not want to understand, then they had no appropriate time for what you had to tell them! The Jews continued to doubt Jesus and to ask him many questions that seemed like challenging him for no reason. But Jesus continued to respond precisely and calmly (31-38). On our side when we meet those who argue with us and we know that what we are talking is true how do we behave? Jesus was being accused of the crime that was punishable with stoning (37): Jesus’ case was not an easy one since all what they tried to accuse him of lacked proof and the works he was doing met the will of the father. These Jews had opportunities to live with Jesus and to listen to him many times, but they wasted all that and did not change at all. Question: Does the truth we gain bring changes in our lives or our teachers labor in vain? Song 174 (Praises)
