Qn. 1
And because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade (3): In the first century king Claudius commanded all the Jews to leave Rome, and consequently Aquila and Priscilla found themselves in Corinth. When Paul arrived in that city on his way from Athens, Aquila and Priscilla had been there for a short time. However, as they were a well organized and cooperative family, they were a good channel for Paul to freely preach the gospel in Corinth. Sometimes when we pass through difficulties, we tend to think it’s all over with us, when in actual fact God is opening for us a new chapter for our life. “But since it is a matter of questions about words and names and your own law, see to it yourselves….(15): And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, (9). God never lies. As the Jews had planned to do harm to Paul, God used Gallio to save him, not because this one was a believer, but simply because God uses whoever he wishes to. Consider: Keep trusting God even in hard times; and God will use someone you never thought about to intervene in your situation.
