Monday 12 February John 9.1-12 Qn.3,4
Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (7). In his time Jesus healed many people in different ways. There are cases where he just ordered without reaching the patient, a quick example is the child of the ruler (John 4.46-53). When Jesus healed this born blind man, he spat on the ground, put some mud on his face, then ordered him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam, where after washing himself, he came back healed (11). What a miracle! The way Jesus uses to solve someone’s problem today will not remain the same every time. Jesus has many ways to save his people, he can even make a way where it has never been before just to save us (Exodus 14.29). So let’s avoid taking his work as something predictable or something we get familiar with. The disciples tried to relate the blindness of the healed to either his past sins or else those of his parents, but Jesus told them that there was no such relationship (3). Consider: God knows all of your problems and has the right answer to each of them (2 Kor. 12:7-10). Song 145 (Praises)
