Qn. 3

But be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world (14): As conclusion, Paul brings out the summary of the main message he was intending to make known to the Church. He indeed signs this letter so that no one will doubt his authorship. He explains some reasons for the proponents of Judaism to teach about circumcision with a lot of emphasis: 1) They were aiming for people’s praise (1.10); 2) They feared being persecuted for Christ; 3) They wished to have a huge number of circumcised people, for them to have something to boast about (13). As for Paul, he gives his testimony with emphasis that he could only boast about the cross of the Lord Jesus. Paul everything of the world as crucified to him, and he to the world. What a testimony we would all wish to have! Whether circumcision or uncirumcision, both don’t count, instead the most important is for one to become a new being (15, 2 Cor. 5.17). Prayer Request: Let’s ask God to bless us by enabling each of us to be a new creation. Song 430 (Praises).
