Friday 7 June Leviticus 7.28-38 Qn.7
Whoever offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the Lord shall bring his offering to the Lord from the sacrifice of his peace offerings (28): Obviously whoever sacrificed the sacrifice of peace did not sacrificed it all as for other sacrifices, but he could offer the part reserved for the Almighty (30) another part could be given to the priest (31), and the remaining to the one who brought the sacrifice (7:16-19) Whoever among the sons of Aaron offers the blood of the peace offerings and the fat shall have the right thigh for a portion (33): People offered sacrifices to God but God reserved portions for his servants mostly those who had exclusively been assigned to that service and no other. Most people think this has ended with the Old Testament but it still applies even in the New Testament. Those who truly serve God should live on the offerings from Christians (1Kor 9:13).
