Friday 28 June Leviticus 14.21-32 Qn.2
“But if he is poor and cannot afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a guilt offering to be waved (21): God knew that there were poor people who could not afford all the sacrifices to wave, mostly because they could have spent such time without doing anything productive, and God devised alternative ways for such to find sacrifices to be offered for their cleansing. Where others were giving a lamb, a poor was asked to give two pigeons or two doves (22). Shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed (25, 28). As believers, we are thankful to Jesus who gave himself and removed the old practices attributed to cleansing that were not that easy for most of the people and limited them from approaching God. Consider: This journey of a leprous man cleansed is a good implication of our journey towards salvation from our sins.
