Friday 19 July Leviticus 20. 1-27 Qn.4

Then I will set my face against that man and against his clan..(5): Many people commit sin as they please, because they have turned against God, but those who should punish them do not do it. However, God himself will punish them when the time comes (4,5). … If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them…. (6) God makes a covenant with his people like a husband and a wife when they decide to be together, join their bodies, and become one. When we believe in God and decide to live with him, we have a spiritual union with Him. So he became our master (Jer.3.14). To worship the idol Molech, or to offer sacrifices to it is to depart from the true God, and seek another master, that is why it is called adultery (Mal. 2.14). For anyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death (9). There are many ways to disrespect parents, such as not obeying them, and not respecting them as parents. Those who do it will be severely punished (9). Request: Pray for the homes of God’s people to be characterized by a spirit of respect and love for God, so that they become good examples of those families living in conflicts. Song 103  (Praises).
