Friday 16 February John 10.1-10 Qn1,2

… But I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (10): Jesus wanted to compare his disciples with the sheep, they had discovered that all those who call themselves shepherds are not true shepherds. There are those whom he called thieves and robbers who pass by the windows rather than go though the gate (1). Otherwise, the true shepherd passes through the gate (2). Jesus continued saying that the sheep know well the voice of their true shepherd, he calls them by their names, he feeds them and they follow him. He added thet the sheep follow him because they know his voice (3-5). What a danger if there is a confusion and the sheep follow the fake shepherd! This is when he can mislead or abuse them in different ways. Problems as such have no other way to overcome them except through being well rooted in the word of God (Colossians 3.16-17). This requires a proactive and consistent approach right from the family level. Let this be our goal and may God help us. Song 175 (Praises)
