Friday 14 June 2 Corinthians 9.1-15 Qn.2
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! (15): God has given us his only Son to save us from sin (John 3.36). Man and all other living creatures on earth had the power to redeem mankind from sin, the son of God alone who never sinned was able to accomplish the work or redemption (Heb. 10:4-10). Those who have received the gift of God by his grace have encountered the Holy Spirit that transformed them and they are characterized by grace and love (1John 3.16). Self sacrifice for others have characterized the early church (Acts 4.32-35). Paul cared for this Corinthian church, leading them to repentance of their sins, spiritual growth, and kindness is one of the significant traits (1). Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver… (7): The Holy Spirit can change the heart and you give cheerfully. Giving with kindness and waiting for nothing in return, but believing that God will bless us. Paul gave instructions of giving in the previous chapter (8.11-15). Question: Do you have any brethren that you who are in need of your help, may the Holy Spirit guide you in that regard. Song 424 (Praises)
